Mildura residents will be treated to a home delivery of cuteness as the cobound Yellow Pages and White Pages books hit doorsteps from April 23 2016.
For the first time in the iconic directories’ history, the Yellow Pages and White Pages are supporting national animal welfare charity, PetRescue, in a move which will see the Mildura cobound book cover being used to help rehome some of the region’s favourite four-legged friends.
The 2016 Mildura Yellow Pages and White Pages cobound cover will feature Copper, the Bloodhound who was adopted from local rescue group Sunraysia Animal Rehousing Group (SARG).
When residents open their book, they will be greeted with a simple guide to help them find their new best friend, as well as information on PetRescue and the vital work they do in Mildura and across the country.
Sensis spokesperson, Stephen Harvy, said the Yellow Pages and White Pages books remain one of the most powerful marketing tools for Australian businesses.
“It is a staple of community connectivity, and provides locals with the ease and convenience of finding everything they could possibly need within the one simple place.”
“Working with PetRescue to launch our 2016 Mildura Yellow Pages and White Pages cobound book, is a fitting way to bring together local businesses and residents with their favourite and furry local friends – pets,” Mr Harvy said.
“We are only too happy to lend a hand to PetRescue and provide them with the heightened awareness that our significant reach provides.”
Speaking on behalf of PetRescue, Mildura local and co-manager of SARG, Carolyn Dufty is a strong believer that there is a home for every rescue pet.
“There are so many beautiful cats and dogs that are put up for rescue, through no fault of their own. It’s heartbreaking each and every time – it never gets easier!”
“But, that’s exactly why we decided to start SARG, to give these gorgeous pets the best chance at living out a full and happy life with a new family,” Ms Duffy said.
Her love of animals led her to become co-manager of SARG where she’s helped to save many dogs, just like Copper.
