A woman has died and five injured after a crash near Wentworth on Saturday
Police said that around 3.50pm they were called to Old Wentworth Road, Wentworth, following reports a Toyota Prado left the road and rolled.
A passenger of the vehicle, a 47-year-old woman, reportedly died at the scene.
The accident happened when the vehicle was travelling from Dareton and had almost reached the bitumen seal near the Wenrtworth Race track when it left the road and rolled over. It came to rest on its wheels,
It's believed that all occupants of the vehicle were local people.
The driver, a 34-year-old woman, and four other occupants, a 75-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl, a five-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl were treated for various injuries.
They were all taken to Mildura Base Hospital in a stable condition. Two of the occupants remain hospitalised in a stable condition but three others have been released from Hospital after receiving treatment.
The driver will undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.
Officers attached to Barrier Local Area Command established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined.
