Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Mildura teenager  Nichola Kirkpatrick.

The 16-year-old was last seen at a bus stop on Seventh Street, Mildura about 3.45am on 10 September.

It is believed Nichola travelled to Cootamundra, New South Wales and arrived there about 12.15pm.

Investigators believe she may have boarded a second bus to Canberra about 2.50pm, arriving there at 5.40pm.

Police and family members hold concerns for Nichola’s welfare due to her age and the fact she has a medical condition.

It is believed she may be in the presence of a male friend.

Police have released an image of Nichola in the hope someone recognises her and may be able to provide information on her whereabouts.

She is described as being about 157cm tall with a medium build, blue eyes and blonde/red hair which is often tied in a bun.

Anyone who sights Nichola or has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Mildura Police Station on 5018 5300.
