The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport has commissioned Deloitte Access Economics to undertake a report on the economic impact of motorsport.
The new research follows similar report that was undertaken in 2013 that is now five years old. The current report will examine the motor sports industry's core economic contribution as well as provide case studies to demonstrate key issues such as induced touris, female participation and community development support.
CAMS is seeking participation from club members, officials, clubs and venues. The survey will be structured in sections, including basic profiling information: operational, participation and licensing information and financial information.
The information may be useful for Mildura Rural City Council in its pursuit of a race track, that has been backed by a similar report that Council undertook.
