Nationals candidate Anne Webster seems to be attracting millions of real dollars to the Sunraysia Community in her run up to the Federal election, while the State Member Ali Cupper talks of funding.

Cupper, who spruiked the idea that an independent could attract $600 million over four years to Sunraysia as Suzanna Sheed has in Shepparton, hasn't delivered a cent of funding since taking the seat from Peter Crisp at last year's State Election. The Coalition however have, in supporting Ms Webster, been dropping into town to announce funding every couple of days.

Cupper won the Sunraysia seat by convincing the community that they would be better off with Independent representation as swinging seats attract multi millions of dollars in funding, however the dollars do not seem to be materialising. With statements such as "the big parties are failing us" and the ridiculing of multi million dollar funding promises by the Coalition at polling time, there seems to be no actual cash being drawn to the region by the new State member.

Ms Cupper is now pushing to gain $8 million dollars for the Mildura South Sporting complex after Mildura City Council made a public plea to the State Government to follow up on the huge financial commitment from the Federal Coalition to meet project shortfall. The State must deliver and quickly to bring this project to a completed reality. Time is now ticking for the delivery of State funding.
