The Resources Regulator is responding to a reported fatal incident that occurred at around 4.45pm on 12 August at Snapper Minerals Sands Mine in the state’s far west.
A worker is reported to have received fatal injuries following an interaction between a light vehicle and dozer.
A team of investigators and inspectors from the NSW Resources Regulator have been deployed to the site and a major investigation into the incident has commenced.
The NSW Resources Regulator expects to release preliminary report on the incident in the coming weeks. No further comment will be made while that investigation is ongoing.
