Reigning Australian Sidecar Speedway Champions Trent Headland and Daz Whetstone have taken the last remaining spot in the 2017 Noddy Riordans Paint and Panel Gates Sidecar Cup in the Mildura Motorcycle Club 70th Anniversary Meeting on Sunday November 5.

The Roxby Rockets come to Mildura for the first time as Australian Champions and there first real test as champions will be at the Gates Sidecar Cup taking on sidecar teams such as World Sidecar Champion Warren Monson, nine times Australian Champion Darrin Treloar, former World Champ Mick Headland and local specialist Byren Gates.

 Headland and Whetstone capped off a brilliant year last season by winning the Australian Sidecar Championship at Gillman Speedway in Adelaide plus placing in the World and Oceania Sidecar Championships and winning the 40th Anniversary Mildura Sidecar Spectacular at Olympic Park the last time they were in Mildura.

With the twelve solo and sidecar fields now confirmed the Mildura Motorcycle Club 70th Anniversary meeting promises to be one of the biggest meetings in the Australian Speedway season and the club is thrilled with the response from all the riders and fans that will be making the journey to Olympic Park Speedway on Sunday November 5.

Rider parade will start at 6.30pm with main racing at a new time 7pm. Special thanks to Chris Dess for assisting Trent and Daz to compete on the night.
