The 2017 Sunraysia Football League Grand Finalists Ouyen United will begin Pre-Season Footy Training for Senior, Reserve and Under 18’s will begin this coming Wednesday night at Blackburn Park from  6.30pm.

This will be followed by another training session on Friday December 8 at 6:30pm and also at Blackburn Park.

Club President Tony Keely said that all players past, present, future and those considering coming out of retirement welcome....

Pre-season training will then continue every Wednesday and Friday until Christmas.

A start to training follows one of the Club’s main fundraising efforts last month with the grain harvest of Black’s Paddock.

Mr Keely said special thanks go to all the volunteers for their time, support and equipment.

“We had a great turn out, seven headers, six chaser bins and eight trucks,” Mr Keely said.

“As well as the equipment drivers there were at least another 10-12 plus people helping out with the sausage bag, fuel, lunches and drink supplies throughout the day”

Mr Keely said that barley went F3 with the paddock yield averaging 10.5 bags per acre.

“Thanks to Mick Hastings for the bag machine, Hahnel’s tractor for the bag machine, Kyle for doing the samples and Jasper Munro for his organisation and everyone else who helped”

“Once again the community support for the Ouyen United football and netball club was huge.,” he said.
