Merbein Football Club will have a scratch practice match amongst themselves followed by a practice game against South Mildura ahead of Easter,

Coach Jarrod Buckley said that the first trial game will be at home on Saturday March 17 followed by a practice game against South Mildura at Number Three Oval on Saturday March 24.

Netballers will also play against South Mildura in a pre-season hit out.

Merbein will then be playing in the Sunraysia Football league Lightning Premiership at Dareton on Saturday April 7 with the first game of the season against Ouyen United at Kenny park the following week April 14.

“I asked all our players to be aware of these dates and let me know this week if they are r unable to play in any of these games.,” Buckley said.

“Our internal game will be at Kenny Park and I hope all players will clear their  calendars for the whole day as we will be having a bonding session afterwards.
“The netballers are going to help out by running the water,” he said.

Merbein’s Under 18 coach Andrew Arden said he is looking forward to finally playing some games after all the hard work of the preseason.

Aden said that the Under 18’s will be training as a group this Thursday 8th March 8 at 5.30pm and every Thursday from now.

“We will train for an hour or so before possibly joining the senior group,” Arden said.

“If any Merbein youngsters are interested but haven’t attended yet please don’t hesitate to do so or feel free to personally inbox me for any more information,” he said.
