Christmas is a very special time of the year when family and friends are reunited. It is a time for joy and kindness. A time to both give, and receive. A time traditionally regarded as the season of goodwill.

The strength and generosity of our rural and regional communities is one of our greatest assets. Please take the time to look out for others in our community, to extend the hand of friendship and offer the spirit of Christmas to those around you.

I would ask that everyone take extra special care on our roads, be patient and allow plenty of time to reach and return from your destination.  The greatest gift you can give family and friends, is your safe return home.

My office has had a very busy year assisting people, whilst I continued to represent the interests of our electorate in Parliament.  I look forward to doing so again in 2017 and wish you all a Christmas and New Year filled with family, friends, good health and good fortune.
