With the approach of Spring, local gardeners are ready to transform the Sunraysia Masonic Centre in Irymple into a blaze of blooms and blossoms at the Annual Spring Flower and Floral Design Show this weekend.
With daffodils and camellias flowering right now along with a myriad of spring flowering bulbs and perennials it is an good opportunity to see what can be grown in local gardens at this time of year.
Beautifully crafted floral designs starting with Open level floral arrangements through to Intermediate and Novice levels showcases the creativity and skill of local floral artists.
Containers of flowers and foliage including trees and shrubs, cacti and succulents, salvias, violets, daisies, dutch iris, ferns and potted plants all add variety and colour to the show which opens to the public at 12.30 Saturday until 5 pm and again on Sunday from 10 am.
Members of Sunraysia Garden Club will be on hand with information about growing and showing plants locally and can help with making a selection from the huge plant stall.
Admission is $3, ample parking and ramp access at the Masonic Centre in Irymple, morning and afternoon teas available.
