Chaffey Aged Care at Merbein has held a presentation to acknowledge the fact that three members of staff had reached the 10 years of service milestone.
The Aged Care centre, established a decade ago – on Friday celebrated not only its 10th anniversary, but a celebration for three members of the original staff.
There was also a presentation to Centre resident, who had come to the centre when it first opened.
Centre CEO Darren Midgely attended to congratulate staff members who were acknowledged for their achievements - David Gray, Koleti Maletino and Kayleen Matson, the first three staff members to reach 10 years of service.
He thanked them for their dedication and contribution to Chaffey over the years which is greatly appreciated by the Board, Management, Staff and Residents.
Staff were presented with a certificate, voucher and 10 year service anniversary pin to mark the occasion.
“We celebrated with a combined morning tea and presentation with all residents and staff invited to participate and enjoy the staging of the event, “ Mr Midgely said.
“We also acknowledged resident Joyce Watling who has resided at Chaffey for over 10 years with a certificate and also presented posthumously a certificate to her late sister Doris Penniall who also reached 10 years with us prior to her passing,” he said.
The next milestone for Chaffey Aged Care will be the official opening of its new wing on Friday December 8, which will bring the number of beds at the centre to 100.
