A Robinvale itinerant worker has collected his prize a Quintrex 420 Renegade in the Euston Club Resort “Win a boat” competition which was drawn last Friday night.
The boat was delivered to him on Wednesday after Club located the local man who did not put his phone number on the ticket at the time of entry.
The winning ticket holder is Sydney Kessler, 30, of Ronald Street, who works on local properties.
He had placed his entry in the barrel during a visit to the Euston Club Resort back on December 27 last year.
Operations manager at the Club Guy Fielding said that at the time of the draw which was attended by several hundred people, no-one was familiar with the name.
Mr Fielding said that on Sunday night the Club doorman was approached by a person in the club and said that he believed he knew the winner and would call him.
“Around 11am Monday morning Mr Kessler arrived at the Club – identified himself and we then assisted by delivering the boat to his Robinvale address on Wednesday,” Mr Fielding said.
“After being told of his win for the next two nights Mr Kessler had brought friends over – shouted them a meal and then showed them his boat, which at the time was still on display."
“He indicated to us that he was going to keep the boat – he seemed pretty excited about the win,” Mr Fielding said.
The Club’s next big promotion is a camping trailer and camping equipment - also to the value of $20,000 – which will begin on April 23.
