The Lake Cullulleraine Store is located halfway between Mildura and Renmark on the Sturt Highway at popular Lake Cullulleraine. The Lake Store which is thirteen kilometres from the Murray River and only metres from the beautiful Lake Cullulleraine and is between the town's two caravan parks, has been owned and operated by Allison and Allan Symes since 2013.
The Store sells a range takeaway foods, fuel, groceries, ice, giftware and alcohol. It is also the town's post office and newsagency.
A three bedroom residence is included at the rear of the shop as is an outside eating area and indoor dining room. The property extends from the roadside to the Lake's edge and is popular with travellers and locals alike.
Visitors to the Lake frequent the Store for Fishing Licences and bait supplies as well as a range oils. The Store is a popular stop for truck drivers and travellers and well known for their cooked breakfasts. It has been said by many that the Store has the best food between Adelaide and Hay.
There have been a number of improvements to the Store during the Symes family's tenure with the installation of bathroom facilities for travellers and the painting of the Stores frontage with a stunning outback mural.
The Symes family are looking forward to spending more time on the family's farm after making the decision to put the popular Store on the market
