In just a few weeks the Cardross Progress Association will hold the 18th Annual Spring Show on Saturday October 13 at the Cardross Hall.
The ever popular Scarecrow Spectacular competition has been joined by Snail Races this year, which is sure to be a highlight of this year's event.
The Cardross Public Hall is celebrating its 80th birthday this year with some special inclusions added to the Show Schedule to celebrate. The show is open to all members of the public to exhibit and still includes many of the elements of the spring shows held in the Cardross Hall dating back to the early twenties when the hall was newly rebuilt by the early settlers in the community.
Now, in the 18th year following the return of this annual event, the Cardross Spring Show is inviting entries in over 280 classes of flowers, cooking, fruit and vegetable, preserves, arts and crafts and photography.
All age groups are catered for with detailed schedules available from district libraries, Cardross Store, Foodworks and other spots in Red Cliffs and the Plantarium Nursery. Schedules are also available in selected locations in Mildura, please contact Dianne for details on 5024 1141
Following judging of all exhibits, the hall will open at 10.30am for viewing of all entries.
There are three categories and no limit on the number of entries in the popular Scarecrow Spectacular, so get your entries in. Judging will be on Thursday October 11 with winners announced during the show.
The day is filled with food and refreshments, free entertainment, outdoor market stalls to browse, fashion parade and country hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere
Admission to the hall is only $3 however all outdoor events are free to wander around.
