A family friendly free event has been arranged by Ouyen Inc to celebrate the community's and project partners' hard work in bringing together the Ouyen lake Project.
Celebrations are scheduled for Friday October 5th with buses operating on a loop from 3.45pm collecting from various points in Ouyen. The event includes music, food, dancing, kids activities and the biggest fireworks display ever seen in the Mallee.
Ouyen Inc has extended an invitation to all to join the celebration of the wonderful achievement that is the Ouyen Lake Project. Bring the family and chairs and enjoy the evening activities, spokesperson for Ouyen Inc said.
The presentation will be held at 5pm with live music from 6.30pm and a huge fireworks display at 9pm. Bluegrass musician and comedian Pete Denahy and Pub Rock band, Seven Car Pileup will provide the tunes whilst local pyrotechnics wizard, Andrew Surrey is responsible for the massive fireworks display planned for the night.
Attendees are invited to park their car at one of the pickup locations below and hop onto the bus to and from the site.
Buses will be operating from 3.45pm on a loop to and from the following locations to the Ouyen Lake site-
Ouyen Golf Club Carpark,
Dakers Street Blackburn Park,
Calder Highway Ouyen Community Club,
Pickering St Ouyen Community Centre, Matheson Street.
Disability permit parking will be available on site, with No other vehicle access permitted at the site.
No Byo alcohol is permitted at the event
